Michael Beeson
Producer / Co-Host
Michael Beeson is a man of many names: if you manage to collect them all you can force him to spin straw into gold. He has over a decade of experience in Information Technology, but spent his undergraduate years studying literature with an emphasis on epic. He holds a B.A. in literary studies with a minor in business from the University of Texas at Dallas. He considers himself a novice poet, part-time wizard, and aspiring polymath.

Dr. Troy Camplin
Co-Host
Troy Camplin has a B.A. in recombinant gene technology with a minor in chemistry, a M.A. in English, a Ph.D. in the humanities, so naturally he publishes on economics and spontaneous order theory. He also writes plays and poems, maintains the blogs Interdisciplinary World, Austrian Economics and Literature, Evolution and Literature, and Thyme and Time Again (his poetry blog), and is the author of Diaphysics. If he had any spare time and a large south-facing window he could use, he would raise orchids. Instead, he’s raising children.

Patrick Dowling
Editor / Audio Technician / Co-Host
Patrick Dowling is a teacher, storyteller, and trickster. Lover of Darwin, Kubrick, Vonnegut, and Seinfeld he remains a loyal follower of Tiger Woods, Bill Clinton, and other fallen 21st Century heroes. A seeker of truth, time, and other mysteries of the universe, happiness is the pursuit of these endeavors rather than the discovery of them. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Florida State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Arts and Technology from The University of Texas at Dallas.

Amanda Preston
Co-Host
Amanda Preston is a graduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is currently working on a second Master’s in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience to compliment an MA in Humanities, major in literary and aesthetic studies. Preston’s poetry has been translated and read in Germany and the greater Dallas metroplex, a first collection publication soon to hit shelves. Preston served in the U.S. Army as a broadcast journalist prior to pursuing an academic career, and while she now leads a more sedentary lifestyle surrounded by books instead of magazines, she says her skill with a pen is only just becoming as accurate as her shot grouping. Preston has been known to adopt both theories and stray cats. Rumor that she may be a new age android may or may not have any legitimacy but would explain a lot if proof surfaced.

Sean Sutherlin
Co-Host
Sean Sutherlin holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Humanities from the University of Texas Dallas and is currently pursuing a Doctorate from the same. Although he is indisputably awesome, he is not adept at singing his own praises, which, if sung, would rival the Icelandic Veddas both in the scope and the depth of epic heroism. He is an aficionado of Modernism, early science fiction, and finely crafted ales. His self-indulgent and melancholy verse won the 2006 Texas Association of Creative Writing Teachers award for undergraduate poetry.
